Students learn about flowers with help from DHA

Delta Health Alliance (DHA) Resource and Referral Centers’ Leland associate recently visited a first-grade class at Leland Elementary to teach about the parts of a flower. The students watched a short video about planting flowers then had some hands-on fun with their flowerpots, seeds and soil. DHA’s Resource & Referral (R&R) Centers provide early childhood education resources to families and community members and offer referrals to families in need of other services from DHA or its community partners.
