Spirit soars like fireworks: Generals’ JV cheerleaders shine at UCA Camp

The Washington School Junior Varsity cheerleaders lit up Mississippi State University with high-flying stunts and standout performances at UCA Cheerleading Camp this midsummer. The squad earned a Superior Ribbon for their camp routine and took first place overall. They also received Excellence Ribbons in both cheer and sideline routines, finishing second and third in those categories.

Olivia Kirk Henderson and Ann Leighton Maranto were honored with the “Pin-It Forward” Award for exemplifying leadership, spirit, and kindness. Mary Tate Glasco, Emily Jones and Maranto were Jump-Off competition finalists, with Glasco winning the overall title.

Anna Love Cain, Ava Hughes, Maranto, and Macy Williams were named UCA All-Americans.
