Delta Health System to acquire Greenville’s Alliance Cancer Center

ACC

Delta Health System announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Alliance Cancer Center, a radiation oncology clinic in Greenville, from Alliance Oncology LLC, with the transaction expected to close June 1, 2026.

Officials said the acquisition is intended to ensure continued access to cancer care for patients in Greenville and surrounding communities. Under the agreement, Delta Health System will assume operational responsibilities for the center, including staffing, facility services and oversight of medical records, while maintaining continuity of care.

The announcement follows recent concerns in the community about potential disruptions to radiation oncology services.
Akumin, the parent company of Alliance Oncology, will provide transitional support during the ownership change, according to the announcement.

Iris Yeldell Stacker, chief executive officer of Delta Health System, said the agreement reflects the organization’s efforts to expand oncology services in the region.

“On behalf of the Delta Health System Board of Trustees, I am pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached,” Stacker said. “By bringing this practice into Delta Health System, our team aims to further enhance care, elevate the patient experience and ensure that individuals across the region have access to high-quality radiation oncology care close to home.”
