Morris Sr. appointed new Police Chief

After nearly three months of the City of Leland’s Police Department operating without the direction of a Police Chief, Leland leaders appointed Isaac Morris Sr. (center) as their next Chief of Police. This vote came up near the end of August, when Mayor John Lee asked Aldermen to appoint a new chief. Morris said in a following Board meeting that he had some ideas as far as restructuring the Leland Police Department and looks forward to working with City leaders in doing so.
