3rd annual Witches Ride planned October 27

The Leland community is invited to join in the third annual Witches Ride, sponsored by the Leland Chamber. The family-friendly event will feature a parade of costumed witch characters who toss candy to parade-goers.

Those who would like to participate in the event, which is set for Sunday, October 27, at 2:30 p.m., are asked to dress up as a witch, bring candy to throw and line up at the fire station by the creek at 2:15 p.m. Participants are limited to those eighteen years of age and older.

Witches can walk or ride in the parade. Rides should be decorated and can be a bicycle, golf cart or side by side.

The route will be down Main Street, turn on Third Street, travel up Broad Street and conclude at the fire station. To sign up to participate in the ride, call or text Kristy Schuerer at 256-457-9678.
