Leland library’s summer reading program continues through July

The Leland branch of the Washington County Library System is in full swing with its 2025 summer reading program, Color Our World, running through the end of July.

Families are invited to join in a mix of reading, creativity and fun events designed to spark imagination in readers of all ages. The library meeting room will remain reserved for program activities until July 24, when the season wraps up with an awards night celebration.

A featured event this summer is Stormin’ Bob’s Rockin’ Rainbow—a musical program by “The Singing Weatherman”—on July 17 at 10:30 a.m. in Leland. The interactive show mixes weather, music and laughs, and is perfect for children and families.

The Color Our World program is part of a national initiative through the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP), encouraging literacy and creativity across communities.
