Step Afrika! brings free student workshops to Washington County

Parents and teachers in Leland should act fast to take advantage of a unique opportunity: the internationally renowned dance company Step Afrika! is coming to the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center in Greenville this November, and free student workshops are part of the visit.

On Thursday, November 6, students in grades 4–9 are invited to attend one of two engaging workshops led by Step Afrika! artists. The morning session is designed for grades 4–6, and the afternoon session for grades 7–9. These performances go beyond dance, teaching teamwork, rhythm and cultural history through the energetic art of stepping.

Space is limited and is expected to fill quickly. Teachers, homeschool educators and parents who want their children to participate should contact the Greenville Arts Council now to secure a spot.
