Leland Water Shut Off 8 a.m.–Noon Oct. 1; Leland Schools Closed for Students

The City of Leland has announced that water service will be shut off citywide on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2025, from 8 a.m. until noon.

Because of the outage, Leland School District students will not attend school Oct. 1.

“All staff, teachers and administrators are to report at 7:45 a.m. to Leland School Park for professional development,” Superintendent Jessie King said.

King added that this missed day will be made up Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025. As a result, students and teachers will now have only Oct. 13 for their fall break.

Families should note that:

• Middle College and CAPP Center classes will continue as usual.
• Buses will run on their regular schedules.

City officials said they apologize for any inconvenience caused by the water service interruption.
