St. Joseph Catholic School names a new interim principal
After just a few short months, St. Joseph Catholic School has named an interim principal. The school was under the leadership of Dr. Robin Perry for a few months up until her resignation in June of this year to pursue another leadership position out of state.
St. Joseph Catholic School has now announced that Mrs. Bettie Martinek will lead the school until a permanent replacement is made.
Martinek will work closely with the School Advisory Council and the Diocese of Jackson Office of Catholic Education to help guide and support the school community during this time of transition.
Under this interim administration, the school’s leadership structure will include the following director positions:
• Director of Academics
• Director of Finance and Operations
• Director of Catholic Identity and Mission
• Director of Marketing and Communications
• Director of the Learning Lab
• Director of Elementary
• Director of Technology
• Director of Athletics
Martinek brings with her a deep love for St Joseph Catholic School and a strong commitment to Catholic education.
After retiring from public education following 27 rewarding years, Martinek shared:
“I am honored to serve as the Interim Head of St. Joseph Catholic School. This community holds a special place in my heart – my child attended the school from PreK3 through graduation. I have also been blessed to serve as a volunteer and as a member of the School Advisory Council, and my family and I are proud members of St. Joseph Catholic Church. I look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff as we continue to nurture academic excellence and faith.”
