Delta Cotton Belles to host Lunch and Learn focused on women’s health
The Delta Cotton Belles (DCB) invite the community to attend a Lunch and Learn on Thursday, August 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Hall in Greenville.
The featured speaker will be Pat Barber, DNP, FNP-C, who will share information on women’s health, wellness and the importance of preventive care. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch while learning practical ways to improve their health and well-being in an engaging and welcoming environment.
The Lunch and Learn is part of Delta Cotton Belles’ ongoing commitment to educating and supporting women throughout the Mississippi Delta. Through community outreach, education and patient support programs, Delta Cotton Belles works to increase breast health awareness and ensure women have access to lifesaving resources and services.
“We’re excited to bring our community together for another opportunity to learn from a trusted healthcare professional,” said Rachel McIntire, President of Delta Cotton Belles. “Through events like this, we continue our mission of educating, encouraging, and supporting women by promoting early detection, inspiring healthy lifestyles and providing hope and support to those affected by breast cancer.”
Mamie Causey, executive director of Delta Cotton Belles, said the organization remains dedicated to serving women across the Delta through education and compassionate support.
“Our goal is to provide programs that not only educate but also inspire women to take charge of their health,” Causey said. “We encourage everyone to join us for this informative event and learn how small steps today can make a lasting difference tomorrow.”
The Delta Cotton Belles Lunch and Learn is sponsored in part by the Community Foundation of Washington County and open to the public. For more information, visit www.deltacottonbelles.org or contact Delta Cotton Belles at 662-390-6488.
