DSU International Student Spotlight: Ava Steven

Ava Steven, a junior from Glasgow, Scotland, works in Delta State’s campus police department. Ava is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology. The Bachelor’s program in Criminal Justice and Criminology is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career in a rapidly evolving field of criminal justice. This program offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers a wide range of topics related to law enforcement, criminal justice, and criminology. The program emphasizes practical, hands-on learning experiences by exposing students to a variety of learning opportunities, including internships, and research projects, which allows them to apply what they have learned in real-world settings.

Also, Ava is a defender on Delta State’s women’s soccer team. Last week, she was called up to play for the United Arab Emirates National Team.
