Hop Around Leland winners announced

Misty and Lori Hughes of Leland were named winners of the “Hop Around Leland” basket drawing at The Next Chapter Bookstore on April 5.
Lori Ann Hughes, a junior softball player at the University of the Ozarks, was recently selected for USA Athletics International and will compete in Ireland this summer. The trip includes games against Division III-level teams, along with travel to Dublin and other historic sites.

Her father, Paul Hughes, is the softball and baseball coach at St. Joseph School.

We did not begin with a map.
Only a card. A few places. And the sense that something might be waiting.
And so you went — through familiar streets made new, through doors you may not have opened before.
At each stop, a mark. Ink, sticker, or something less visible — a quiet record: I was here.
Because a town is not made of buildings, but of doors that open, and the choice to step in.
