JA 2026 Charity Ball preparations under way
The Junior Auxiliary of Greenville is preparing for its 2026 Charity Ball and reminding past royalty to fly their JA flags beginning now through the day after the event.
The annual Charity Ball will be held Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at the Greenville Golf and Country Club. The 2026 King and Queen will be revealed during the Royal Presentation, which begins at 6 p.m.
This year’s theme, “Through the Looking Glass,” will transform the Greenville Golf and Country Club with disco balls and bright pops of color in celebration of the organization’s 85th anniversary. A reception will immediately follow the coronation, featuring cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres and entertainment by Groove Factor.
The Charity Ball is the sole fundraiser for the Junior Auxiliary of Greenville, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit service organization dedicated to serving children and families across Washington County. For 85 years, members have contributed more than 3,000 community service hours annually to projects aimed at improving quality of life in the community.
The chapter includes 48 active members in Washington County. Each member serves on at least five projects during the school year in addition to summer initiatives. Donations and sponsorships generated through the Charity Ball fund lessons, materials, project activities, school supplies and uniforms for children in need.
The Junior Auxiliary of Greenville supports 15 projects serving more than 1,000 children annually. Members work with Camp Looking Glass campers, promote healthy lifestyle choices in elementary schools and provide summer reading programs at the William Alexander Percy Memorial Library. Volunteers also lead art activities and story time in Pre-K Head Start classrooms, host events for children in foster care, collect winter coats for families in need and volunteer monthly at the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County.
The coronation includes recognition of a King and Queen who exemplify outstanding service to the community, as well as presentation of a Royal Court composed of school-aged sons and daughters of lifetime Junior Auxiliary members.
The Junior Auxiliary of Greenville is part of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, a nonprofit organization founded in 1941 and headquartered in Greenville. NAJA has nearly 15,000 active, associate and life members across nearly 100 chapters in seven states.
