Leland High School students learn chemistry in action

Mrs. Liu’s chemistry students at Leland High School recently completed two exciting science experiments.

In the “Elephant Toothpaste Explosion,” students witnessed a foamy, bubbly reaction as they explored the power of catalysts and decomposition. Mrs. Liu says their excitement was through the roof!

The students also had a “Crystallization Lab,” which gave them the opportunity to create stunning crystal formations, as well as learn about solubility and saturation while crafting their own science-inspired art.

Both teacher and students agree: learning is always better when it’s hands-on and fun.
