Memorial services for Beverly Nolan Alexander, age 88, were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Leland. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the service time at the church. Beverly was received by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as she entered her eternal home on September 9, 2026. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland, Mississippi.

Beverly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Mr. and Mrs. William Matthew Nolan, Beverly spent her formative years in Chattanooga and then ventured to Memphis, Tennessee, where she attended Baptist College of Health Sciences to become a Registered Nurse. While there, she attended and was active in Bellevue Baptist Church Choir, where Beverly met and soon married the love of her life, Kelly Drew Alexander, Jr. Upon graduation from their respective schools, they were sent to Fort Irwin, California, where Kelly was stationed, and began their family.

After spending 2 1/2 years in California, they returned to the Mississippi Delta, where they settled in Hollandale with their family, and they became a vital part of the Hollandale community. Beverly worked tirelessly as a loving wife and mother to three daughters and was a wonderful homemaker and fabulous cook. She also was a Registered Nurse for more than 40 years, in and around the Delta, including: Hollandale Clinic, King’s Daughter’s Hospital, Delta Regional Hospital, Belzoni Hospital and Continue Care Home Health Services.

Beverly was also a part of many organizations and committees and was an active member of the Hollandale Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, a choir member, and Bible Study Leader. She will be missed by all…. And her Christian example and servitude will live in our memories for a lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and William Nolan of Chattanooga, Tennessee; brother Matthew Douglas Nolan of Maryville, Tennessee; and her husband of 64 years, Kelly Drew Alexander.

Surviving Beverly are her daughters, Marily Alexander Joyner of Brandon, Mississippi; Joy Alexander Fratesi and her husband Kenny of Leland, Mississippi; and Pollyanna Alexander Higgs and her husband Billy of Jasper, Alabama. She was also affectionately called “Mimi” by all her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart: Taylor Fratesi Nicolosi and her husband Evan of St. Augustine, Florida, and their three daughters, Olivia Grace (11), Natalie Jean (5), and Joy Beckett (3); Brooke Fratesi Mosow and her husband Matthew of Greenville, Mississippi, and their two children, Richard “Ricky” Kenneth (5) and Clary Brooke (4); Dorothy Grace Higgs of Brentwood, Tennessee; and Joseph Atticus Higgs of Jasper, Alabama; and Grace Hannah Joyner Knight and her husband Lee of Brandon, Mississippi.

We thank our Lord for the blessing of Beverly’s life and her unconditional love, wisdom, and wonderful Christian example to all who came in contact with her…. May her loving and caring legacy live on to the Glory of our Lord Jesus!

Memorials may be made to Baptist Children’s Village or a charity of the donor’s choice.
