4th Annual Witches Ride

Last year, around sixty participants dressed up and participated in what has now become an annual Leland tradition ahead of Halloween – the Witches Ride. Over a dozen bicycles, golf carts and ATVS took part, while parade-goers lined the street to enjoy the festive afternoon.

This year’s event happens on Sunday, October 26, and all who are 18 or older are invited to ride. Those who would like to participate are asked to dress up and bring a bag of candy to throw. A prize will be awarded for the best costume. Lineup begins at the first station at 2:15 p.m.

The community is invited to line the parade route to cheer on the spooky brigade.

The parade will head down Main Street, turn on 3rd Street, go up Broad Street and conclude at the fire station.
