Mr. Rickey Thomas, 65, of Leland, Mississippi, passed away on July 19, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

He was born on April 6, 1961, to the late James Thomas and Ruth Jeanette Robinson. A lifelong native of Leland, Rickey was known for his love of fairs and carnivals. For most of his adult life, he worked with traveling carnivals, a career that reflected his love for bringing joy and entertainment to others.

Rickey will be remembered for the life he lived and the memories he shared with those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched

  • Officiant: Pastor Terry Jones, Unity Baptist Church
  • Interment:   Mt. Galilee MB Church Cemetery, 441 Lake Bolivar Rd., Benoit, MS
