Delta Compass partners with Ship to Shore Communications

DC LogoDelta Compass has entered a 12-month partnership with Ship to Shore Communications to promote its new campus development in Greenville and expand awareness of its work across the Mississippi Delta.

The marketing partnership comes several months after Gov. Tate Reeves announced a broader economic development investment that included $500,000 for Delta Compass to construct a campus in Washington County focused on workforce training, small-business incubation, transportation planning and conservation initiatives.

According to previous announcements, the campus footprint will extend from Washington Avenue down Broadway and along Nelson Street in Greenville. Planned projects include the Delta Menagerie, featuring large bronze sculptures representing wildlife from the region’s national wildlife refuges, and the Great River Road Market, designed to showcase local artists, cultural leaders and small-scale makers.

The new partnership will focus on public outreach and promotion as construction and program development move forward. Over the next year, Ship to Shore Communications will assist with media outreach, storytelling and digital campaigns aimed at attracting entrepreneurs, investors, visitors and community partners. A projected construction timeline and opening date for the campus have not yet been announced.

Justin Archer Burch, executive director of Delta Compass and director of the Washington County Economic Alliance, said the collaboration is about ensuring the region’s story is clearly communicated.

“The Delta Menagerie and the Great River Road Market are more than construction projects,” Burch said. “They are platforms for entrepreneurship, cultural preservation and economic mobility. We want people across Mississippi and beyond to understand what is happening here.”

Peter Kelly of Ship to Shore Communications said the firm looks forward to helping share that message.

“The Delta has deep culture and strong potential for growth,” Kelly said. “We are honored to help tell that story.”

For residents in Greenville, Leland and surrounding communities, the campus represents a potential boost to workforce development, small-business growth and tourism, building on the state-supported investment announced in December.

The marketing partnership begins immediately and will roll out in phases aligned with campus development milestones.
