Fairy Tales Take a Twist as St. Joseph Students Present Into the Woods JR.
Students from St. Joseph Catholic School will bring beloved fairy tale characters to life with a fresh perspective in their production of Into the Woods JR., opening Feb. 27.
Featuring 24 students in grades five through 12, the musical weaves together the stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk and the Witch in a thoughtful and often humorous exploration of choices and consequences. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine, the show is based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway production.
Performances will be held Feb. 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. and March 1 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic School, 1501 VFW Road in Greenville.
