Mississippi Delta Community College (MDCC) celebrated the dental hygiene Class of 2025 for earning a 100% pass rate on both the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and the ADEX Clinical Board Examination. This milestone marks the fifth consecutive year that all MDCC dental hygiene graduates have passed both required exams to become licensed dental hygienists.

These national and regional board exams are rigorous, comprehensive tests designed to assess the clinical knowledge and skills required for entry into the dental hygiene profession. Achieving a perfect pass rate for five years in a row is a testament to the hard work of the students and the strength of MDCC’s program.

“It is with immense pride and admiration that I congratulate the dental hygiene Class of 2025,” said Dr. Patricia Kelly, dean of health sciences at MDCC. “This marks the fifth consecutive year our program has reached a 100% board pass rate. That’s an incredible accomplishment. This kind of consistent success speaks to the high caliber of students we attract and the unwavering commitment of our faculty and staff. These students have shown integrity, compassion and professionalism throughout their time here, and I know those qualities will continue to shine in the communities they serve.”

Dental Hygiene Program Director Catherine Dunn echoed that pride. “Once again, we are so proud of our graduates. They’ve worked so hard and absolutely earned this,” Dunn said. “The boards are tough, and they rose to the challenge. Their success is a reflection of the time and effort they put in – and of the high standards we hold in this program. I have no doubt they will make an incredible impact wherever they go.”

MDCC’s dental hygiene program combines hands-on clinical training, rigorous academics and a deep commitment to patient care. With a continued record of excellence and a perfect pass rate from the Class of 2025, the program remains one of the top choices for students pursuing a career in dental hygiene.
