She grew up in Hollandale alongside her beloved sister, Vivian Ferguson, who also preceded her in death. Bobbie graduated from Hollandale High School and carried with her throughout life the values of faith, family, kindness, and hard work that were instilled in her during her childhood.

Throughout her career, Barbara worked as a secretary for many years. Of all the places she worked, her time at Delta Council in Leland was especially meaningful to her. She took great pride in her work and valued the relationships she built with colleagues and friends throughout the years.
Bobbie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she never missed an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments, offer encouragement, or simply enjoy being together. Whether visiting family near or far, she treasured every opportunity to gather with loved ones and create lasting memories.
She had many hobbies and interests that brought her happiness throughout the years. She enjoyed crocheting, tending to her flowers, and playing dominoes and other games with her grandchildren. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
