Funeral services for Billy Joe Tilson, 78, of Leland will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. He passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Delta Health-The Medical Center. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Park in W. Helena, AR.

Billy was born in Indianola, MS on September 17, 1947 to Robert and Bertha Edmondson Tilson. His family later moved to Greenville where he attended E.E. Bass school. He started his career in many different trades and lastly worked as a welder for Baxter Crane in Greenville. Billy enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Singleton and Cathleen Fields; a son, James Fields; a brother, Robert Tilson; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
